SUGGESTIONS FOR PARENTS

Document, document, document! It is important to keep records of each occurrence to establish patterns and persons involved. This will be a help for the school administration or law enforcement. Most schools have work bullying out on their own. Bullies and victims need help from parents, teachers, school counselors and/or other professionals to stop the behavior and assist the victim's needs. The best intervention for bullying is prevention. Surgeon General Richard Carmona, M.D. announced Stop Bullying Now! a nationwide
campaign to combat bullying.
