Event Ideas

CHALLENGE DAY

This program addresses the issues of violence, racism, teasing, stereotypes, tobacco, drugs and alcohol in a way that goes straight to our teenagers' hearts. Cultures are changed because of it, and teens who've participated say their lives are different! To learn more about this event, visit www.challengeday.org. If you're blessed with a well funded PTA, an eager fund raising team, or generous community sponsors, this event could easily be a reality.

POST GAME TAILGATE PARTY

Typically, teens take off as soon as the football, basketball, or school game ends...either in search of food or a party. Why not provide both for the teens in a safe environment right on the school campus? The school cafeteria would be a great place to make up some pancakes and allow the teens to socialize. Hot off the griddle, the pancakes are sure to lure hungry teens over to the tables and keep them off the roads...safe at school. Music and chaperones complete this event and just might save a teen's life, make some memories, or become a new school tradition!

MOVIE NIGHT

What do teens like to do? Watch movies with their friends! Why not rent a movie and provide lots of popcorn, candy, drinks and chaperones for the teens. If your school has a projector and drop down screen, all the better!

AMUSEMENT NIGHT

How about renting out a space at your local arcade or family activity center? It would be a great way to bring parents and teens together in an off-site location. Choose to sponsor the event fully, or use the event to raise money by charging admission.
